British novelist Beth Underdown released her debut title, The Witchfinder's Sister, on March 2 with Viking.

Set in 1645, it follows the story of Alice Hopkins, the sister of Matthew Hopkins, the Witchfinder General, after she returns home in disgrace and begins to uncover her brother's obsession with witchcraft and the book in which he gathers lists of women's names. The novelist Patrick Gale called it 'at once a feminist parable and an old-fashioned, check-twice-under-the-bed thriller' while Paula Hawkins called it 'vivid and terrifying'.
